Hi all as the title my air con is not working. I need to do some more reading to narrow the problem down but if anyone can help it would be appreciated. I have just had the engine running and went out for a 5-7 minute drive, I notice the temp gauge reached the 90 mark within that time (not sure if that's normal, although the outside temperature is fairly warm.
The car was sat idle whilst had the bonnet up, I switched the air con on with a view of checking if either fan came on, neither fan moved with or without the air con being switched on.
Now I feel this is a stupid question, but here goes, does the air con require the fans to be working to assist with the cold air ( yeh I know silly question), even without the air con turned on and the needle turned to cold, the air from the car feels warm.
I have not checked the fuses yet but will do this tomorrow as I am hoping the problem is something simple as opposed to being a huge problem.
