Diverter valve - Rev G or future proof GFB?

I'm going to change mine as the car feels a little lackluster (or I've got used to it), question is Rev G or fork out a little extra for the GFB item. Reading the blurb the don't fail long term.......

GoFastBits has a nice product according to those who have it. If my AWE DV ever fails I will try it. You do need the actuating mechanism from an OE DV in order to use the GFB DV.

As the advert for DV+ states, its rarely ever the solinoid that fails, so retain what works and replace what doesn't. I have a DV+, its a nice 'fit and forget' modification. I didn't have a faulty DV before swapping it, but I did notice a slight improvement in the lower rev range and initial turbo kick felt smoother and more controlled. I'd recommend it highly.

Well I got my DV (rev B, could it be the original?) off today to have a look see and it's perished :fighting: as I hoped/suspected - ordered a GFB one from Balance Motorsport so will report on the change once received & fitted.

The DV+ has been proven to leak.

Stick with the OEM Rev G. You could spend the difference on a DV relocation pipe (if you have a k03 GTI) and after that you shouldn't have to change it ever again  :happy2:

Is power loss a symptom of a leaking DV+? Would there also be an increased in intake noise under acceleration?

Yes definitely, but how much loss is dependant on how big the hole. Logging the N75 duty with VCDS is the best way of identifying a leak (other than checking the DV yourself)

Well it arrived and I fitted it yesterday, which I first drove this morning; what a difference especially from 3k onwards. It makes me think that it may have been perished from when I got it 9 months ago.

I'm running a Cupra engine (BWJ) with Revo stage 4 (As my ECU is a 200bhp GTI) and Precision 5558 ballbearing turbo and with 1,8 Bar i have 489BHP and 564Nm, so yes the stock 245bhp Cupra engine is a bit tweaked, but look at my project tread for more info  :wink:
DV+ has been on for app. 5000km
