« on: August 04, 2014, 09:48:46 pm »
Thinking of taking the plunge and buying a BT phone kit for the motor.. OEM or Fiscon what's peoples thoughts.
Some of the BT kit's I have to connect to in the day sound sh*t... I take it both of these perform well.

What version/model BT Unit do you have seems to be a few that can be used with RNS510...

Fiscon for me. Works like OEM, and had the bonus of the additional info in the Highline display. Granted the Polar gives a bit more info though.
Integrates well with OEM steering wheel controls, and I can't fault the sound quality.
I chose Fiscon for ease too - I had no idea where to start with VW Bluetooth modules, and all the rest...

Kind of leaning towards the Fiscon myself... I have a MK6 GTD with all gear on the steering wheel and white dot highline display and RNS510 do you know if it works ok with this set up.  :happy2:

No experience of OEM but have had Fiscon Basic and Basic Plus. Ultimately you'll be happy with either a Fiscon or the correct OEM.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

Yes sure they are both fine. Just wondered what the difference was between the 5K0 and the 76P, Not to fussed about audio music streaming as I have 30Gb hard drive in the RNS, 16GB sd card... Plenty for me

I have an OEM bluetooth kit that worked fine with RNS/RCD510 fine, not fitted to my car, happy to let it go if your interested. I can find out what model number it is.

Bought via the forum from gladiator, but not got round to fitting. I can put money towards my wedding fund, before th emrs makes me sell the Eddie
