I keep comparing our 2 car pics on this thread and I'm liking the MK6 more and more. The lines just look so much more neater and refined compared to the MK5.

Was your Renault 19 the 16v version?
And what engine was your 205? That was the most enjoyable car of mine, could throw it round corners like anything. It was such a joy to drive....ah memories!

I kept the Corrado G60 for the longest period (around 7 years). Here's a pic when I had the exhaust system done by Pipewerx:-

The mk6 does look nice. I think I like is slightly more that the mk7 atm but still looking at getting a mk7 if I sell mine.
The 205 came with a 1.6 engine around 100bhp but ended up with a 1.9 around 130bhp. It was feckin rapid for the size of the car. We have a train line that runs along side a twisty section of road, and used race the trains.
That Corrado looks the nuts.

Lovely pics Clarkey - thanks

I've never actually considered a MK6 before looking at your MK6 picture - it reminds me of my MK5 but much nicer/modern. I'll have to start doing some proper research on them and see what sort of prices they go for. As always I'd be looking to get a low miler and I'm defo feeling the red again!

My original 205 was the 1.6 GTI, however, on a trip down to London one time, I blew the engine and replaced it with the 1.9 GTI engine - which was the dogs danglies. I also replaced the interior to the half leather (reminds me of the Edition 30 interior somewhat).

Coincidentally I have also fitted the Edition 30 interior to my current MK5:-

Enjoy!
