Suspension refresh - suggestions please
« on: August 07, 2014, 04:33:10 pm »
My Pirelli has recently ticked over 80K and as I've got no plans to replace it anytime soon I was considering a bit of a refresh of the suspension - dampers, bushes (do they come separate or just as part of the arms?), springs etc

It won't be going on track just a daily so I don't plan on fitting coilovers or anything like that...

Has anyone got any better suggestions than just replacing with OEM parts? I've seen mention of various other VAG parts that can be substituted as upgrades so I'm open to any ideas...I get a healthy discount on VW parts which may help.

Superpro do the full range of bushes.

Depends how far you want to go with the rest of the suspension and your budget. :happy2:

If it is a daily runner id just refresh everything with oe parts. But I would fit tt bush inserts to the front consoles, as they are solid rubber and not as harsh and polyurethane bushes.

Looks like they do a full kit to replace all the bushes - I assume the Road versions would be the ones to go for rather than Race -don't really want to make the ride any worse... I'll have to make some enquiries on fitting to see what budget would be left.

Any ideas on part numbers for the TT inserts?
