Error code P0299 low boost
« on: August 11, 2014, 07:24:44 pm »
Anyone had this and it NOT be the DV?

Cleared codes for it to return about a week later.  Power feels really low, massive difference.

Done a PCV test (i.e. remove dispstick whilst idling... runs lumpy) - although, I've never replaced the PCV in my ownership, is the test fullproof?

Check your boost pipes, could be a split?

Worst case could be a cracked turbo housing

Was the DV for me when I got it on my GTI

However I had the same error on my old Leon and it turned out to need a whole need turbo due to a failed actuator

Out of interest, does this produce a engine management light?
