Best way to fix airbag light seat issue
« on: August 12, 2014, 08:21:08 pm »
Hi guys :happy2:

I was wondering what is the best way to sort the common issue with the mk5 front seats causing issues with the airbag light on the dash? I have previously reset the light but it keeps coming back which must mean I need to address the issue and fix it as the airbags wont deploy in the worst case scenario.

Cheers

Have you had a VCDS scan to determine the exact fault? There are a couple of reasons so this is your best first step.

One of the occurences is a loose connection in the plug under the chair, so chopping the plug and soldering the wires together worked when I had a fault on my old car.
