Stupid question, but can the TTRS calipers be used with the 340mm J-hook 1 piece discs, to keep costs down? Hoping to get this setup next year but thinking about budget and servicing costs. I appear to have chewed through my stock OEM pads on my mk6 R brakes within 15,000 miles (quite a bit of hard braking).

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

Cool stuff! Was thinking of using the 340mm disc with my current caliper now and some decent pads, that way I can spread the cost and lie to myself about how much more money I'm spending on the Golf!

Me, lol.

It's sort of all changed slightly with Dave.  He is basically wholesale only now, with myself, Awesome and Stattlers being the UK distributers for Vagbremtechnic.  Means that there will be more stock held in the UK to aid waiting times.  Dave has always been busting his gut () to keep up with all the workload.  Now he can sit back a little getting new and exciting products built.

I keep the discs, and the brackets you need to get the 340mm and the DB9/TTRS calipers onto the cars.

Ah, OK then. I may have to order a set of 340mm discs off you, assume there's no problem using them with R32/S3 front calipers? Also, do you recommend and particular pad for those calipers as well, I have been using Ferodo OE replacement ones but as I said, think I've chewed through them in about 15,000 miles. Certainly getting that noise you get when brake pads are worn low.

Out of interest, what's the prices on the discs, calipers and brackets? (Sorry if this has been asked millions of times, but couldn't see it in this review.)

Fair enough. I'm scared to talk to Alex as I'll go in wanting just brake discs and come away with a K04 conversion, BBK and full chassis mods.

I am right in thinking the Vagbremtech 340mm J-hooks are lighter than OE 345mm R32 discs?

The 340mm diacs are either pagid or brembo and are ~10kg vs 12 of the 345mm
