Rev G fitted on my K03 yesterday and all good!
How long it lasts is another question!
Strangely mine had rev G on there already which was split but original owner tells me that been on car since car was new in 2007! So how long has rev G been about as Vw parts guy also told me reg G is correct for my 57 plate Gti too!

 Well, we're all screwed then.

I've had 3 rev.G's 1 rev.C and 1 Rev.D the Rev.D pulls hard, the others physcially failed on me.

Standard or mapped car mate?  :happy2:

Surely Rev G should last a while on a standard car running 12 psi boost

G will be fine up to stage 2+ but treat them like a service item as they work in extreme heat. The D leak from new but still work better than leaking C or G.

.

I honestly believe there are A LOT of GTI's out there with torn DV's and the owners just think the car is slow.

+1 was thinking this earlier
Id estimate atleast half the Gti on the road are in need of new DV

By all accounts the parts desk don't know what the f*ck they are!

It's not unlikely, owners are booking them in for a problem, VW scan it, seeing it's the DV, changing it out and charging the customer £200+VAT
Totally agree I bet a lot of people being overcharged over this simple change
