Hmm I'd take anything they say with a pinch of salt, I'm really not a fan of that garage! Citygate might be worth it for a second opinion as they seem to be the best main dealer in the region

Dv changed today, took me 10 mins to do it from underneath!
Like a different car now as old one was torn to bits
Very very happy for around £40

What one did you go for? The revision G or the revision D? I'm tempted just to get the revision G and swap it anyway, regardless of if mine has torn or not, because if it hasn't yet, it's only a matter of time  :signLOL:

Went for revision G mate but the torn one i removed was also a rev G so they certainly not bullet proof! My car is and always has been standard too!

Alright cheers, i suppose it's something that should be checked once a year or something haha! Did you notice a slightly louder noise with the G compared to the original DV?

Sounds the same to me just goes like fook now
Im going to order a spare and check it every 6 months as only a 15 min job, took me longer to jack the car up and axel stand etc than it did to change the valve

Got the price from the dealer there but I really don't think my DV is gone so I don't fancy spending €50 unless I need to.

Don't suppose I can check my revision or for tears in the rubber without removing it is there?

Although after taking a look at 'Matthewsimone ' comment if it's only a 10 min job I might just go for it.

I imagine I can remove and check for damage and then put it back in if there is nothing wrong yes?

Certainly could just pop it back in if nothing wrong with it then just order one!
Only reason i bought one is that my car is a 1 owner example and he told me its deffinately never been changed so thought sod it il just change it as 7 years old anyway, glad i did!
Maybe you have a boost leak?
Good opportunity to check intercooler pipes too while your under there!

Il be checking my DV every 6 months from now on as old one was in a mess!
