Premiership Predictions
« on: August 18, 2014, 12:47:14 pm »
Gonna go with -

Chelsea
City
Arsenal
Liverpool
United
Everton or Spurs

Two horse race for me, Arsenal still lack strength of the mega rich two, Liverpool better squad but worse starting 11, Van Gaal cant bridge that gap in one season unless they sign Rojo, Vidal, Cuadrado etc before deadline closes...

Relegation - Burnley, Leicester, Villa or Sunderland

Don't know how three or four players that have had 0 minutes Premiership experience are gonna' turn that side around tbh mate.

You've got former Premiership and Champions League winners in the side that seem to struggle to be motivated and play together effectively   :chicken:

Rumours on the Manc streets are that LvG has already fallen out with Ed Woodward after the transfer window embarrassment and will be gone within three months unless he signs two Dutch stars that he's targeted (rumoured to be Robben and Blind, although those really are rumor-mill material). I think in likelihood if they don't get a CB or Blind, they'll sign Ron Vlaar before the windows shuts who TBH, is a solid centre half and what United need.

The fall out bit I can certainly believe, however. LvG's reputation and success is bigger than he'll achieve at United with City and Chelsea around in reality and he's the type to have his say and walk if he doesn't like what he's dealt.

Can't say it's all painful to watch though    :popcornsoda: :popcornsoda: :popcornsoda: :popcornsoda:

Yeah Vlaar looked solid at the WC and possibly too good for Villa.

Blind and Robben would be good signings for them.

As a Liverpool fan we need Falcao on loan and Song or perhaps we signed the wrong Southampton midfield player - i like Lallana but we need Schneiderlin more!

agree with your top 4 prediction but too early to predict champions yet - though I hope it is City

Utd look like they could be in for a painful season again - who knows last year may be the high water mark

Any one of about 8 teams could go down but Burnley look favourites so far

Interesting to see you think we will still finish above Arsenal even with Sanchez jilting us? I hope you do finish 4th with us 3rd that would be good for the city and good to see Arsenal and United miss out but I doubt that will happen as last season was the real chance of it.

Suppose a lot depends on whether Atsu and Besic are any good for you...

Losing Barkley for a few months is going to be a huge blow, but lets see what the new lads offer, both look pretty decent on youtube  :signLOL:

Yeah only just got him out of my FFL team in time! Martinez seems a good manager so am sure will get you playing as well as last season, but Man U are bound to come on stronger than last year and Spurs bit of an unknown really but they look very short up front?

Hard to tell until the window closes but Chelsea do look strong

I'd go with

Chelsea
City
Arsenal
Liverpool
