RCD 310 Help - BT and AUX
« on: August 05, 2014, 11:13:34 am »
Hi,

I bought my 2007 Mk5 Edition 30 (Not full MFD) about 6 months ago and it came fitted with a RCD 310 and also has a BT kit with it and partially fitted (Speaker installed and wiring connected to the back but the BT screen not fitted).

So when I took the RCD 310 out the dash, I plugged in the BT screen and it seemed to work Ok apart from the sound would only come out when I press the different icons on the BT screen, if I paired my phone (Iphone 5) to the BT and dialed a number no noise would come out (Also when trying to play music) but when I press 'Menu' on the BT kit it would speak through the speakers.

This is the BT kit that I have with the car:

So my question is, does anyone know what's wrong with it? Wiring problem? Is the kit completely pants and worth getting another one?

Also, can anyone recommend me a cheap AUX Kit to plug into the RCD 310?

Any help is appreciated :)

Thanks
Harry

I think it might be something to do with using an Iphone, have you tried an android phone?
I just remember seeing something about it but may be wrong...
