Yeah, I fill the filter with diesel clean when I change the filter. Gives the injectors a good dose of undiluted cleaner.

Put it straight in the filter housing, then it's not diluted.

my advice would be to run the tank as empty as possible before hand then fill it up with non super market fuel , then change the filters plus addative, then a good constant run out and blow the cobwebs out. I always run millers ecomax fuel addative  everytime I fill up, but I still feel a big difference when it's had a run out.

I'm guessing your car is the 170 bhp diesel....
If so ,fuel filters wont help with the chugging or holding back in low gears.its more likely the ASV that is sticking or the dpf is blocking up..this engine wasn't designed to run with a dpf..its a bad setup!!!!
Gut the dpf, bypass egr and remap out regenerations and you'll have no issues

EGR valve is very likely to be knackered! So prone for these.

When you get the fuel filter out check it for having a lot of oil in the fuel system.  Doing a fair few of these again!  This can cause hesitation, kangarooing, poor earring etc. :happy2:

What causes the oil to get in the fuel system?
How hard can it be?
