Can Bus Gateway 7N0907530 compatable?
« on: August 25, 2014, 09:23:37 am »
Does anyone know if 7N0907530 will code correctly in a MK5 for the later head units? The unit I'm looking at has no revision letter at the end of it like many others do.

Thanks

I believe 7N0 907 530 C/H/M/R are considered "safe" revisions for an upgrade, but if you truely want to be on the safe side I would probably disregard the R as this has different hardware, which might complicate the installation. The other revisions should have the same hardware as yours, but newer software. There are other - and newer - gateways available as well, but I have seen people reporting minor problems with steering angle sensor etc. after installing these. Please note that you will need to code the gateway after you have physically mounted it in your car.

Thanks - looking at ETKA it seems revisions C/H/M/R superceeded 7N0907530 so fingers crossed it will be OK after coding. I also found the following list referenced on a german forum:

The following fit:
1K0907530L
1K0907530Q
1K0907530S
1K0907530AD
7N0907530
7N0907530C
7N0907530H
7N0907530M
7N0907530R

So I'll see how I get on.

Thanks :)

Hi, this is a minefield of info. So lets get this right. I have a mk5 and wanting to put in a RCD310 from a RCD300. As checked with VW the part number of my canbus is 7n0907530 AK, so this means all is good for putting in the RCD310 without the power drain. yeah I need the DAB Aeriel too.
