Intakes

I need to finally get a intake on my ED30, I know Revo ones are meant to be the best but is there any out there that are just as good for less money?
I have been looking at either the Creation Motorsport one which is the same design as the Revo or the Ram Air oversize intake, but I'm not overly keen on having that many joiners. Has anyone tried either the Ram air or the creation Motorsport one?

Ramair oversize has done well, if you don't want to pay for the Revo...

For what I've seen from others online feedbacks they're not worth it. A panel filter does the same.

I still have my OEM airbox with an ITG panel filter. It's the only legal intake in my country and it's enough for my current tune level.

I still have my OEM airbox with an ITG panel filter. It's the only legal intake in my country and it's enough for my current tune level.

I put it on before remap, got remap done then took it off after about 3 months. It was then I noticed the difference in lower down torque.

They may be better on top end but I prefer more power down low. And they probably benefit more on stage 2+ cars.

Thanks. Your feedback makes me not regret much not having a cone filter intake. I'd have to go for the VWR closed intake since it's stealthier. :signLOL:

Plus the ram air was so noisy. Sounded like a cold kettle boiling water  :scared:

I've just fitted an oversized Ram Air. 
On my stage 1 Ed. 30 it made no difference to power or torque that I could tell, just lots of cool induction noises.

The problem with open intakes are that when you aren't doing enough speed there isn't enough air going into your filter so it's just soaking up all the heat of the engine until you get to a decent speed where then the filter will start sucking in the cold air coming in.

This is the reason why with open intakes your low down torque suffers. Stick with a panel filter, I just change my paper panel filter every couple of months as they're dirt cheap.
