n4s used VAG ODIS to change the code of the EEPROM of the door controller. I don't know computer programming languages so I really can't help you with that. You can try contacting him in the www.myTiguan.com forum.

Updated and added the most relevant pictures in the 1st topic of the project. From now on I'll only do regular maintenance. It currently has 95k miles and I've changed the oil to Liqui Moly Top Tec 4100 5w40 and the oil and diesel filters. I didn't change the cabin filter because it was changed in February this year.

Also fitted Brembo Sport 340 mm (10,1 kg) brake discs because I managed to warp the ATE 345 mm (12,1 kg) with around 10k miles.  The weight reduction was noticeable in the steering feel. I hope it was just a fluke or a random misuse that won't be repeated.

Thanks! It was a good base to really get to know the mk5 Golf better. When I bought the Ed. 30 I already knew more or less everything I wanted to do to it. It took me 6 years to finish the GT Sport and I hope I'm done with the Ed. 30 still this year.

I don't know anyone else in my country with Omanyt 17''. Only seen late R32s or Passats/Tiguans R-Line with Omanyts 18'', that do look better but don't have the same ride comfort.

Picture taken by a friend this weekend during a nice gathering. It was rainy and the car was dirty. The camera and the colour really disguised it.

Yeah, it's my favourite mk5 look. Bought the car new from VW and modded it until I was happy with all its aspects. Now it's my wife's car.
I was supposed to bring the Ed. 30 but it wasn't available this weekend due to a new mod in progress.
Thank you for your comments RBS. :drinking:

Although the Ed. 30 has been giving me some trouble until recently, now that it's sorted I had some minor issues to deal with this one too.

The rear camera stopped working again after having the wiring repaired a few months ago. It broke again.

So I ordered a new one to make sure I have a working camera for another 4-5 years at least. Got just the camera from ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261651211275.

The right front window trim had the black matte paint flacking a bit so I got a new one from VW.

Went back to the friend who repaired the wiring and he replaced the camera and reinforced the original loom with a lot more heat shrink tube so prevent the wiring from bending when the camera operates out of the VW symbol.

He then replaced the door window trim I have the car back in top shape.

I still have the TyrolSport deadset rigid subframe collar kit to get fitted and the next oil change isn't far way too. About 1000 miles...

So after 1000 miles since the last time I posted here the car had the oil and all the filters changed, a new right front window trim fitted, the rear camera replaced and the TyrolSport deadset rigid subframe collar kit fitted.

The old camera was repaired and is now for sale: Link.

This time decided to use Motul 8100 X-clean C3 5w40 instead of the Liqui Moly Top Tec 4100 5w40.

Here are a couple of pictures of the TyrolSport kit:

A few weeks ago fitted the protective film to the rear doors (1K4809387). I didn't take pictures of them fitted. Should be doing their purpose.

Cheers

Activated the auto windows closing when locking the car on the comfort setting of the PolarFIS Advanced which also automatically close the wing mirrors when I lock the car. :star:

Got new Continental SportContact 5 fitted in the rear axle, changed the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asys 2 to the front axle and finally got rid of the Michelin Primacy HP. The Primacy HP lasted +3 years and +41k miles and still had +2 mm of depth. Not bad durability but their grip on wet roads isn't great compared to the tyres I have now fitted.
