It easy. I just grabbed hold by putting my fingers in the holes in between the V and the W and turn it to the left. It should then just pull out! :happy2:

Thanks buddy, I will give it a try tomorrow  :happy2:

Carlo,

I agree with you, i couldnt picture my badge black... i didnt seem to think it would go well with silver.

You dont need to do anything with the once you've lowered the car.

Keep it subtle looking  :happy2:

If you do it this way you can easy snap the clips.  :sad1:

It only takes about 2 minutes to take the grill off and do it properly. 4 torx screws and its done.  :happy2:

Damn :jumping: I read TC's post too and I was hoping it would all go smoothly for you mate. If I would have known there was any risk of breakage I would not have suggested this  :sad1: I read the twist method somewhere and went straight ahead and did it. I had no problems with mine, although I did notice after taking it out and putting it back in alot of times, it did feel a little looser.

I will edit my earlier post now, so that others that may read the thread wont use this method :happy2:

I took mine out by simply sticking my fingers in, rotating it anti-clockwise then pulling out. That's the way it's meant to be done according to VW. I had no problems when I did this. You must have been unlucky

Dude your way worked fine but when I removed it I was bending the clips and managed to snap one as it felt loose so i was 'adjusting' then to make it tighter  :ashamed:
