Lowering Advice - Shocks and Springs
« on: July 19, 2014, 09:40:10 pm »
Hi All,

Hoping you guys can pitch your 2 cents.

I have a stock mk5 1.9tdi. I am looking to buy some 18" BBS CH 8.5J wheels with 35mm offset. I also want to sort out the terrible boaty suspension!

I am looking to buy either Spax or Koni, Spax do multiple kits for different ride heights, but i can only find one for Koni:

Spax 30mm: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/suspension-kits/car/volkswagen/golf-mk5/2007/1-9td/spax-psx-adjustable-damping-suspension-kit-lowers-30mm-all-round-2

Spax 40mm: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/suspension-kits/car/volkswagen/golf-mk5/2007/1-9td/spax-psx-adjustable-damping-suspension-kit-lowers-40mm-all-round

Koni: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/suspension-kits/car/volkswagen/golf-mk5/2007/koni-sport-performance-suspension-kit

Have you guys got any advice/past experience with any of these kits? Would love some input!

Thanks
Vish
