Just get a GFB DV+ fitted, no diaphragm to fail and works better than either stock parts.

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

My KO3s been running the original rev A since new in 2005 without any issues. Stock engine tho

My KO4 ran the original rev G since 2007 without issues and REVO software most of its life without needing replaced

Not sure why some fail and others don't

Maybe if your cars modded than ,
I'm on stage 1
This is probably why it's killing the dv? :fighting:

Just get a GFB DV+ fitted, no diaphragm to fail and works better than either stock parts.

DV+ is twice the price of an OEM DV and has been proven to leak (although more so on K04 setups).

Rev G is still the best. May be cheaper to buy a DV relocation pipe and a new OEM rev G DV and have the reassurance that it should last well and not leak  :happy2:

So i have stage 2 apr software, full miltek turbo back and neuspeed CAI. I last changed my DV bout 3 1/2 years ago. Which revision would people recommend? Mines feeling a bit sluggish at the mo so its the cheapest and quickest thing to try and replace 1st in a whole list of bitty bits of crap that could be failing.

After asking advice in another thread I've gone rev g on my standard gti.
What a difference if a bit fiddly to get at.
Will be checking at each oil service now i think.

I find with my car when I do lots of city driving the car becomes sluggish, so I do throttle reset and it makes a good difference.

This is what I do :
Turn on the ignition ( don't start the engine) and wait all lights stop flashing , then
Floor the gas pedal
Hold it for 30 sec then let it off ( for some it could work when you keep holding the the gas pedal, turn off the ignition then release the pedal)

This is different to the method which you can reset the throttle (ECU) via vagcom
