Found a real Scirocco 'racek0r' today. sh*t photos as I was in a rush but you get the idea. Guy owns a workshop and it has every suspension mod imaginable.

That's super cool Dan!

:)

Hello -

So I can now reveal that we have done a new tune from the ground up on the car.
The old Darkside map was good, and I had zero problems with it, but I felt more could be had from the car.

Bobby Singh agreed to take on the challenge. Some of you may have read his 440+ bhp A4 3.0 V6 build on ukmkivs / tdiclub. So certainly knows his stuff.

The before was 242bhp and 350 ft lb of torque.
Now we are are 250bhp and 385ft lb. The torque has come in a lot more aggressively with a much better spool as well.

A before and after.

And comparative on paper

Very strong spool at 2400rpm.

We are right on the limit of the fuel pump now. We can't get any more and have tried many work arounds.

I am ordering the last part of my intake that I am making up at the end of the month, and hope to have that sorted early into April.
Not sure when we will have the uprated pump, but I'm told it will be soon. We are having to sort out our own pump kit out so it's taking a bit longer.

Also just found a boost leak I had during this dyno test.  :signLOL: :signLOL:
I will maybe re-run it again to see if we have lost any power.

2016-03-28_11-20-25 by Fat Bear Photography, on Flickr

The frayed end of the hose was on the turbo outlet. I was noticing a whistle on spool / boost and had issues with this particular hose before so whipped it off to check.
Luckily I was able to rotate it so the duff end was on the pipework (longer flange) and test drove confirmed no leaks afterwards.
Noticably more torque even at 3/4 throttle i was getting wheelspin in 3rd lol (was damp so meh).

Anyway, it was a sad goodbye for me on Friday evening  :sad1:

My RS4 seats with me for 2 1/2 years had gone bye bye  :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

Sold them to Andy , owner at Storm Developments (where I get my car dynoed).
Good bunch of guys there tbh. We agreed a fair price. I sold them for £1600.
I only paid £1700 for them got 2 years of use and while I could have got a couple hundred more quid the cash was there waiting, no messing around with people who would let you know.

In addition Andy (who also owns the Black TTRS you see in the pic) lent me his TTRS seats until mine arrive.

I already hugely miss some sort of buckets and I want to be able to use my harnesses again!! I was falling around all over the place the first few drives. Did try bodging it with them through the headrest but not wide enough apart so scrapped that idea for comfort and safety reasons.
Not overly supportive but very comfy nevertheless grateful to have lent them.
The TTRS seats are for sale if anyone is interested looking for around £350 for them.

My new seats should be being ordered tomorrow on a 3-4 week lead time.
Very excited can't wait to get them .

Haha thanks :-)

Just a quick status update.
Have changed my Cambelt from the 3rd of May to the week after...why? Because Bobby has sorted out the HPFP upgrade kit.
I cannot show any pictures at present until we have it all done and fitted. But once we have that I am hoping to get 105-110mg fuel in the midrange and we should have no problems holding 100mg to redline and we can add an extra bit of boost, I would guess 0.2 bar, any more and we are pointlessly pushing air.

Aiming for 300bhp.

Other than that the car is running well. The Project Mu pads have completely f*cked my wheels. I guess that's the price for quality stopping power.  :chicken:

My new seats still have not arrived...  :phew: :sad1:

We are still doing the rear brakes on the 3rd at Alex's so I will have the 310mm setup.

In other news I bought a bike.
Starting a new job in June, 2 days a week in Central London - I can't stand trains at all, so after some man-maths I have decided to jump back on 2 wheels and I have bought a ZX7R from my mate -

After spending £1k on new clothes, security etc, I just need to put some more "rain friendly" tyres on it and it will be totally ready.
I may start a build thread haha.

What's the problem with your wheels? Not buckled I hope?

I hope you get the 300 BHP out of the new upgraded HPFP.

Interested in the seats. Heated, electric or manual and cold?
