mine are because we have the scirocco r style units but they have indicator and sidelight as opposed to just sidelight.
R has indicator in the headlight and my DRLs are in my headlight instead.
the wiring is all done correctly so i can't see why theyre not working. we will need an inline resistor i think. least getting them bumper off is a 10 minute job.  :happy2:

car is with bobby now for some major updates , he has it for 2 weeks now so will update once that is all sorted!

Almost make the 2 month and 3 day wait worth it.

It is sods law though, as I have dropped the car with Bobby for a few weeks to work his magic so they won't be going in until the the weekend or the week after the 11th June although this depends on how we get on with the work being carried out.

They're the most unhappy looking Recaros I've ever seen

Joking aside, sounds like a nice build. Always got a soft spot for a well fettled derv.

Haha yes they are quite sad looking!

I got them fitted... :-)

Also, have the car back from Bobby's with the new fuel pump. Absolutely flies now. Dyno is getting done on Thursday so will update then.
It was booked for Monday dyno but with the issue getting the seats fitted never had a chance.

Can't get in the way of a big kid and his toys lol
I get it dynoed at Storm as they have all my previous dyno so we have comparable befores to compare against .. they are also totally independent . i have tried using Surrey Rolling Road but my car doesn't get on with it there and ends up getting chocked by the ABS/ESP cutting in for some reason.

On darkside tune it did 242bhp and 475nm(350ftlb).
On bobby tune it did 250bhp and 523nm (385ftlb).

Now we have the fuel pump and another 30 map revisions and not far off 500 miles of road testing who knows...it feels notably quicker like going from a stock car to remapped in terms of performance feel. I would estimate another 20-30bhp.

thanks! :D

Is it Bobby Singh that's done your map by any chance?

Sorry for the delay I didn't see your post!

That's the guy :-)

We had some issues at the dyno with ABS and ESP not disabling properly causing power cuts, we were also hitting EGT limiters causing fuel to be cut back (protection factors) with a peak EGT of 950 degrees!!! The cooling was not sufficient on the dyno I used, we were seeing at 1000 rpm EGT of 400 degrees.

I've since figured out how to fully disable the ESP and ABS by removing the specific fuse (which also stops the speedo working, causes the power steering to default to "heavy as f*ck" and causes the fuel gauge to plummet to the bottom of the gauge whenever you press the throttle lol)

In terms of mods umm not much, replaced my wheel arch as a 140+ run testing the new map somehow caused my undertray to come off and the wheel arch liner to not be attached to the bumper anymore.
I replaced all of the clips/screws underneath and bought a new arch liner for £40. It's not a genuine part but the quality seems Ok actually, it's a different material to the original archliner.

Also during the Cp3 pump fitting we fitted a new thermostat which has massively improved the MPG, before the engine temp would sit around 75-78 on the Polar, now it's pretty much bang on 90 degrees. We also did the timing belt with a new water pump, as it needs to come off anyway

I remember Bobby being 'the man' when diesel tuning really took off (ukmkivs GTB ARLs etc). Good guy to have doing your maps!

And also no self centering!!! Very VERY odd to drive.

Yeah Bobby is really passionate and quite local (45 min drive) so great to be working with him. He looked at the map on my old 1.9 if you remember that but didn't do anything with it as I ended up selling it.

Don't think he had a MK1 1.8t tho.
