Bringing up an old thread here but the "how to" videos are not entirely clear in my opinion.

I applied G1 about a month back and it's fantastic but at the time I had a few unanswered questions so here we go:

Screen cleaned, clayed and polished beforehand.

Applied G1 which left a sort of smear or cloudy haze on the screen from specific angles. Same after applying the additional 2 coats.

I then applied G2 (residue remover) and although it cleared up some of the haziness, the screen was still quite cloudy looking.

I had to buff like crazy with quite a bit of force to remove the rest of the residue with a microfiber cloth.

What am I missing here? I was supposed to buff off the haziness right? At that time I thought this haziness was actually the coating I was removing!

I know it's not because the product is working but I did second guess myself at the time.

No the hazyness is basically excess product that has not cured and bonded. You need to apply thin even coats. It is not "easy" to reply, you do need to buff it quite hard. I didn't need to use any G2 (which is just IPA).
