Aircon leak from radiator
« on: June 27, 2014, 06:11:59 pm »
Washed my car today and could hear a very quiet sound coming from the front end, on closure inspection i could see bubbles forming around the top right of the air con radiator around a white cap with a hex socket in the top, i tried to tighten it but it was too tight. Not sure what to do, looking for some advice. Cheers

My cars going into the garage tomorow, just wondering if anyone else has had a leak from this part of the condenser and whether it can be fixed? Id rather find out here first that way if they say it needs a whole new condenser ill know if theyre having me on. Cheers

I have heard this happening before , I think a guy who I enabled cruise control for mentioned it. Said he had to have a new AC rad.

I had this exactly too with the bubbles in that spot, had no gas left, so got it refilled and leak tested but no leaks were coming through, all the gas was gone as well. But so far a few months later the ac is still cold! I see that repair kit but you can also buy a whole complete after market rad for a little bit more than that!
