Golf Mk5 front parking sensors
« on: September 06, 2014, 11:19:08 pm »
Hi all,

I'm new to this forum. I've just bought a 2008 VW Golf Mk5 GTI Edition 30, I'll try to get pics up soon :) I want to fit front and rear parking sensors, I've seen a genuine kit of optical sensors (4 front, 4 rear) which will integrate with the RNS 510. I've been told that the rear bumper has markings for fitting the sensors but no markings for the front.

Can front parking sensors be fitted to a mk5, if so where would the best place to put them? If anyone's done this, pics and any advice would be great.

Great thanks for the information. I'm going to try to do this myself but I guess the only difficulty will be where to position the front sensors :)  Any ideas where I can get a punch tool to do the holes or will a drill cutter be my best bet?

I've bought two kits off Ed (very competitively priced) and found the job easy with his guidance - waited longer for the glue to dry than the actual install - you will require coding advice and access to VCDS if your doing it yourself!
