Brand new THS intercooler was delivered today, which I got for a steal.

Planning on going stage 2+ at R-tech in April next year so starting to pick up parts between now and then. I will be doing:

THS intercooler
Loba HPFP
Superpro engine mount
S3 OEM short shift and 42DD bushings
New rear suspension arms (I've had them sitting at work for 6 months and need to get them fitted)
Helix Organic clutch and new OEM DMF
Rear ARB
Powerflex anti-lift kit
AKS tuning 4 wheel fast road alignment.

Also possibly
S3 front wishbones
OZ Ultraleggera 18" (very unlikely I'll have the funds)

Should transform the car power wise and also tighten up the cornering and make gear changes more crisp.

Love this Dan!! I was in your exact position two years ago with a pretty much stock GTI (and age ) and went stage 2+ in a matter of months!

Love it so far, and mods spot on. Lots of good things planned - you'll love it when they're all on. SO good to thrash round!!

Thanks very much mate, I'm looking forward to getting this done more than Christmas  :jumpmove:.

Shame about you selling yours but you've gotta move on sometimes I guess.

Hit a big milestone today, had the car for nearly 13,000 miles and just over a year now and loved every minute. Had a few annoying issues with the car in that time but that's to be expected with a car this old and they haven't been particularly expensive.

It still puts a massive grin on my face when I go for a drive and can't wait to keep modding in 2015, got some big plans for next year and it should be a lot of fun.

Merry Christmas and happy new year to all the great people on this forum, so many helpful people who have probably saved me many hours and ££££'s with their help and knowledge.  :drinking:

Just got my insurance renewal quote and I'm very pleased, fully comp on a MK5 GTI for a 20 year old for £998 is pretty good  :jumpmove:

Gave the car a good clean

Found a shot from Westside

Little summary of what i've done in 2014-2015

18" Monza's - 18" Audi S8 style wheels - 19" Gallardo reps - 19" C63 wheels.  Also bought 18" MK7 GTI style wheels and 18" BBS CH reps as winters but couldn't fit them over my brakes  :sad1:

KW V1 coilovers, polybushed front wisbones

Forge Twintake - Revo cam coated intake

Custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat (style dynamics)

STD brakes - R32 front brakes - TTRS front brakes

Custom remap (stealth racing in southam)

Repair and repaint front wings

Lots of interior mods and other little bits.

Been a good first year

Its taken me a few tries but I'm happy now.

Cheers, I bought them new and haven't had to have them refurbed yet but if I do then platinum wheels are the best. I've seen lots of wheel refurbs from quite a few places and they're consistently the best, especially for diamond cut.
