Excellent write up Dan  :happy2:

Don't like the look of that plug though :surprised: glad it's not damaged anything.

So after the spark plug issue and suspected under fuelling I changed the fuel filter and upgraded the LPFP to one of these

http://www.awesomegti.com/car/vw/golfmk5/deatschwerks-dw65v-high-flow-fuel-pump-90769

Then yesterday she went on the dyno for testing to log all parameters and see if anything is wrong.

So glad I bothered to clean it the Friday evening before as I love how the wheels and brakes look when spinning  :innocent:. First time I've ever uploaded to YouTube and seems that it dropped the quality a bit which is annoying.

After half a dozen or so runs it seems all the big important things are running fine and fuelling is perfect now. However it sometimes holds back up top as the ECU is getting a bad reading from one of the sensors, which is on its way out, but unfortunately the ECU won't tell us which sensor is giving the bad reading so basically I need to keep driving and regularly check for fault codes until something comes up. Not great but not bad however at least now I can now go out and enjoy the car again even if its down about 20bhp.

Hope you find the culprit Dan, must be a bit gutting after everything you've invested in the car.

The brakes do look a bit special mate. You did the right thing getting them refinished in red!

Have you logged fuel rail pressure? Are you on LOBA? RS4 FRV?

Loba pump standard FPRV

Everything possible was logged and air/ boost/ fuel/ temps ect.. Are all perfect. For some reason the ECU thinks something isn't right but won't tell us what. BWJ lump is on the cards as I CBA with this engine anymore.

Fuelling might be ok... but thats not to say the rail pressure it keeping up. It wont throw a fault code, but you will feel it pulling the power. Might be worth throwing on an RS4 valve. Start with the cheap things first.

Stronger internals, generally an improved engine, 72k less miles, 3 years newer etc....

Makes sense if you can get it done at the right price. Would you stick with the hybrid k03 or go for a tte420 though...?

Will most likely just keep stock K04 as this engine comes whole and has low miles.

Went for a drive and got this now   :indifferent:
Me and this car aren't friends anymore.
