So last Saturday I gave the car a wash, polish and tweaked the spacing/ suspension then on Sunday a few of us went to the Pod and Jay kindly fixed my aibag light so its gone finally.

So when I parked up Saturday evening it was lovely and clean.

24 hours and 250 miles later it looked like this

This Saturday I got my MOT done, no advisories which is always nice, put a coat of Collinite 915 on and filled her up. Let's hope by Sunday evening she's still clean  :signLOL:

So who's the fastest off the line? The hybrid K03 or the big turbo diesel?

Your GTI looks great! :drinking:

Question about the hybrid (again, apologies), and k03 hybrids in general.

The latest graphs I've seen are pretty much identical to a k04 (Andrew Worthington's BBT for example). The quick spool sub 3k seems to be lost in favour of trying to achieve k04 peak power.

Yours is Loba if I remember correctly Dan? Question is, how much low end spool have you lost, if any?

I'm weighing it up for the future and for me a hybrid k03 would only be an option if it didn't lose anything low down. I'm not interested in big peak numbers. 330bhp with supporting mods would do me fine.

Last thing I want is a k03 hybrid that builds boost like a k04, and makes peak power like a k04.

Anyway, rambling a bit, but I hope you get what I'm saying - not all k03 hybrids do the same thing!

That guy with the Octavia made 330bhp and 400lb/ft on (I think) a BBT k03 hybrid. Sounds more up my street than the psuedo-k04 offerings I've been reading about lately.

How does the Loba compare to a k04?

@xjay1337 haha, thanks mate, yeah I'm sure it will hold and if not I have enough tape and resistors to last ages  :signLOL:

@Shoduchi I only did 2 runs and the first was a flop as I didn't build revs and left the traction control on  :rolleye:, second run I did better but he still had me off the line, its only the last 100m or so that I took him in the end by a couple of tenths. On his third run he was only 0.1 of a second behind my best time but I was having to hold back as the car is still a bit wounded. Definitely wasn't an easy win  :signLOL:, these two cars are very well matched and Jay has more to come soon so I need to up my game a bit .
