It's actually what's going on at low revs that's impressing me with this graph.

You make 350lb/ft 200rpm sooner than my k03 does. And you're only 20lb/ft short of what mine makes at 2500rpm. Obviously what happens after 3000rpm sh*ts on a k03, but that's to be expected!

Also, of the BBT k03 hybrid graphs I've seen, yours also beats them for torque between 2500rpm and 3000rpm. I honestly expected the BBT k03 hybrids to be stronger at low revs; they also use the anti surge wheel as far as I know. K03 hybrids usually get touted as 'k04 top end but better spool' but that's certainly not what I'm seeing lately. Yours isn't the only k04 graph I've seen with this curve at low rpm. I know hardware variation comes into play, but I think it's fair to assume the cars Niki has had in all have comparable bolt-ons.

Sorry if this detracts from the build thread a bit Dan, I just find it all quite interesting, and I'm still trying to weigh up whether to go k04 or k03 hybrid on my BWA. As I'm sure we've discussed!

@ducman77 thank you, crank power. Wish it was wheels

@Dave J yes mate come over and I'll demo for you any time. Going to be driving constantly anyways.

@AJP yeah I won't lie when I first saw the headline numbers part of me was hoping for a few more horses but then I realised it's far more about on road than numbers and once I studied the rest of the graph it all becomes clear lol. 350+bhp from 4700ish rpm to redline, savage torques and all that space under the graph.

It doesn't take anything away in fact it's exactly what I love, not too often you get to compare this closely even if it did come at the cost of my credit score  :signLOL:

Now I'm just too damn excited ffs. Will speak to Niki tomorrow if he gets a chance and talk about the other 4 maps I was after and see how it all went. It's not even finished yet so could be a bit more in it  :jumpmove:

I think your peak figures are excellent for a k04. And you get the bonus of the torque ramping up nice and strong low down. It should be damn good to drive!

Haha, knowing my luck it will break on the way to the circuit let alone go around it.

Indeed mate quite a few cars on it now. Need to do a track takeover

Crank power or no it's still awesome  :happy2:

Especially as AJP and others have said - the shape of the curve and the early torque - beautiful :drinking:
Niki sure does know what he's doing with these cars - fair play :driver:
Gonna be such a weapon on track

Sticky tyres and a Diff and off to the Nurburgring with you to show that new Mk7 ClubSport S what a fast lap time really looks like

OH WAIT

I totally forgot I had a full exhaust fitted aswell

On July 18th I went to EMP for a full 3" turbo back exhaust as mine was pants.

First of all they had a very very very nice waiting room

The exhaust wasnt too bad either  :signLOL:

Looks amazing and sounds great too. It's virtually silent on the motorway but nuts when you get on it. Only issue is at the moment I have a really annoying and quite loud rattle when engaging forward gears and driving under 1500rpm's which I suspect is the exhaust and Vibratechnics mounts not making good friends so need to take it back to be looked at soon but that's not their fault really.

Dan may i ask how much the cat back exhaust was looks very well made

@patpong_pete yeah it's a turbo back and was £850. Think cat-back was £550 or something like that.
