Check ETKA and you'll see the PN for the DMF is different. It's the same for both Ed. 30 and R20.

Nice one, I'll have to look into that  :happy2:

Gave the car a good wash since she was filthy with all the road salt and rain. Looking forward to the rolling road day @DANBOY66 organised at Surrey Rolling Road tomorrow. Will be nice to meet a few people.

My review of the Michelin Super Sports coming soon.

Michelin Pilot Super Sport review:

So recently I switched from these: https://secure.tyreleader.co.uk/?t=tyre&i=66107&q=0&m=0

To these: https://secure.tyreleader.co.uk/?t=tyre&i=66107&q=2

^^ this is the best price I could find.

The Goodyear's F1's were always a great tyre as many people have said with great dry and wet grip. The only problem I had with them is that they did get a bit floaty in standing water which is suprising given how good they are in the wet generally.

The Michelins though are just better at everything, I've done about 700 miles on them so can't comment on wear and I don't really care about sound or fuel consumption but I can't say I've really noticed a difference in either. As a fast road tyre though they really are quite a bit better than the F1's (which I didn't think was possible without track tyres). They grip in the wet/ dry/ damp/ cold like they're glued to the road and if they do let go its progressive and easy to manage so no 'oh sh*t' moments. I've noticed that if they spin on launch they don't just let go and keep spinning they still catch sometimes and give some traction but without being juddery. There is definitely no 'floatyness' through standing water with these either they just keep charging on with great steering feel and feedback and they're great under very heavy braking somehow still managing to cling on.

So in conclusion they're not cheap but they're worth every penny and get a 10/10 from me so far. The only thing I would be wary of is for some reason even though I got the same size they are slightly wider than the Goodyear's and I had to wind my suspension up a few turns.

I highly recommend anybody who likes to drive properly at least gives these a try on the front axle because they're really a very good tyre.

Completely agree. They are brilliant. I really have to be pushing the limits to get the front end to wash-out on mine.  Love em!

Ive just fitted the same size PSS. Got mind for £650 fitted so this is a bit cheaper than that again.

immediately took mine on a trip to south wales on some fun roads. turn in was a lot sharper compared to my conti 5p tyres. stiffer sidewall i presume?

do you get any rubbing? not sure if its coincidence but since changing to these when i hit a bump on part lock either way there is a scraping noise but I'm wondering if its my top mounts?

Yeah for some reason they seem to have a slightly wider profile even though they're still 225. I had to wind my front up a touch and my rear is not a stretched as it was with the F1's.

Cheers, good to meet you too  :happy2:

Can't believe they don't do 235/40/18 PSS, are the cup 2's worth the extra £60 than the PS3's? I heard they're a bit  :scared: in the wet.

So the cars been a bit of a PITA recently and is making me re think my plans to spend ££££'s on it.

I really fancy an Ibis white S3, they're a bit out of my price range but hopefully with selling mine and a loan I can afford a decent one with sub 60k miles.

Has anybody had one or got one? Have they got any issues or things I should look for? Any other suggestions/ recommendations for 11k - 15k in the VAG range with reasonable insurance I might have overlooked? Cheers.

4WD and DSG..... Boring

I know it would be fast but unless it has big power it wouldn't be very fun to drive. I tried a DSG R32 and it was pants to drive.
