Dans grey MK5 GTI. Prepping for VagTuner

I was thinking about doing this mod myself but having seen it on yours I won't be doing anymore.

I think it works on the MK7 as it has a long crease running down the side of the car and the badge is a continuation of that crease on the wing. There aren't any creases down the side of the MK5 which is why I think it looks a bit odd.

I have a friend who made this mod on this mk6 GTI and ended up taking the badges off. I don't like them on our GTI.

Yeah that was my concern really, it doesn't follow that shape of the car its just something shiny stuck to the side of it. I just wanted something to break up all the grey now the wheels are a similar colour to the body I feel that there's too much grey/black and not enough colour on it.

I'm getting a bit pissed off because one minute I like the way it looks now and the next minute I think it looks  .

My mate has them on his white edition 30 but placed them in line with the windows just so its kind of going with the line of the car

Thanks for your comments and input guys  , I think 12 no's to 3 yes's is pretty conclusive. I'm still not sure about the wheels tbh, I go back and forward every day it seems. So they might be up for sale soon....

No I absolutely love the wheels and I think with the brakes behind them they're awesome but as a whole package they just don't sit right on the car for me, its hard to explain but its just not what I thought it would be.

Wouldn't mind the 19" Monza's from the W12 650 concept car, or some 991 Porsche Carerra/ turbo wheels. At the moment I'm very interested in the new GTI clubsport/ ED40 or whatever they're calling it, I'm going to try and find out more about the release date and price this weekend.

Thanks mate, they retail at £1320 + delivery but I got them for about £1250 all in (new from demon tweeks).

For now I think it's the GTI Clubsport. It looks awesome! Should be quite tunable too!



It's not easy to say this but if I had the chance/budget I would consider one for me as well. I love my mk5 Eddie though.
