hi mate
yeah i know at that loom but it designed for lhd and some mods are required to fit i think with regards to the seat loom length
i thought buying a geniune VW loom would save the hassle

Hi Stu,
I think the only modification needed is to switch the under seat harness around from the passenger to the drivers side and vice versa.
Can someone confirm this is correct?

Yeah I've heard that but does that mess around the air bags?
ie if you swap over the looms won't the airbag controller think you are in the passenger seat and if there is a accident the wrong airbag will go off??
can anyone clear this up please?

With the kufatec loom you simply need to either:
Swap the seat looms over so controller is on drivers seat or cut / extend the loom so it can reach the passenger side where the heated seat controller lives.

If you swap the seat looms I think you'll have to code the occupancy sensor out, but it won't affect airbags.
If you cut / extended the kufatec loom, the occupancy works as normal which is what I did.
