Swirly/nasty head lights
« on: September 22, 2014, 07:21:34 pm »
My head lights appear to have got a funky mist on them, has anyone got any tips to try and clean them up a little? I am looking for some dark GTI style head lights at some point but I need to sort these out first...

3M do a kit or you could use some 2500/3000 grit and a decent toothpaste :happy2:

best results i have had are by
cleaning them
the wet and dry start with 800 grit and use 3 or 4 steps to 2500 grit
then i would use a da polisher with cutting pad and some megs 105 then finish with polishing pad and 205
or you can buy 3m kit as its ok
and has all bits you need if u dont have access to a da polisher

Was looking at headlight restoration kits the other day, mine could do with a freshen up.

Did mine last week, rubbed down with 800_2500, then 3000 grit wet and dry. Polished with 3m fastcut, then finished with menzerna sf4500, massive difference

I used the 3m headlight restoration kit on my last car, held it up for 2 years and used it again on a friends new lexus and still have loads left over.

Great results and it goes along way.
