Quite believable really. I had a play with an RS4 Avant (same engine) the other month in my stage 1 S3 and there was sod all in it! I would expect there to be nothing between a stage 2+ ED30/S3 and an R8 4.2. The R8's really aint that fast, I think the way it look makes people believe its gonna be a rocketship!  :happy2:

Ditto in stg 1 ED30 - but an RS4 Saloon,

Spoke with APS in the summer and they said the majority of R8/RS4's aern't making 414 bhp and a more like 390'ish.
Ed stated that normally a full Miltek, map etc sorts them out and brings them up to factory figures!

R8 is still a lovely car though but it's a nice thought that the hiumble old Golf with a bit of fettling can bring it's performance to levels that years ago was only a dream. All credit to the overall Golf package on what is a fraction of the cost of a R8/RS4/911 even with all of 'our' stage 2 mods. :pomppomp:

these apr cars arent that quick. The stage 2 plus ones should be quicker than the r8's but they are not for some reason.

Surely the R8 would rape the GTi?! Even at stage 3, it's pretty unbelieveable the R8 would get Tanned...

....Milltek were quite surprised by the number of their systems that have been ordered for the R8. Have you seen the Milltek pipework for the R8? It's a real sculpture!

A Stage 2+ Golf (especially DSG) would pull a decent distance on a RS4 upto very high speeds (R8 would go a little better as it is slightly lighter than the RS4). Mine was only Stage 1 (with Milltek) when I had my (infamous) coming together. So with another 40bhp....
Just make sure it's safe if you want t find out for yourself..  :signLOL:
