Looks like a good little mod that. The only thing I would have to consider is the part being made of rubber, rather than polyeurothane as over time rubber tends to go soft.
Golf R gone.

did a fair bit of research and trawling the internet to find an alternative to the VWR rubber mount as i didnt want a polyurathane one, from other people said there were cabin vibration on idle. 034 do a polyurathane version also for the same money

half the price of the vwr and hpa mounts

the VWR looked like rubber imho (the powerflex bush for the dogbone was ploy though!)
are you saying you wanted polyeurothane or rubber ? not clear from your text?

....Nope, only very very minor (a buzziness if you touched the steering wheel) and only on initial startup and not when later at idle, say at traffic lights. IIRC I wrote as much in my review of the VWR mounts.

I have absolutely no 'vibration' now - It's all gone. Just a wonderful Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! on opening the throttle - Possibly not everyone's cuppa tea but I'd be extremely disappointed if that disappeared.

just to clarify, the poly mounts like the hpa and vwr and 034 ones gave cabin vibes on tickover and worse when the AC was on, so i wanted a solid rubber mount as reviews said very slight noticable vibes, i wanted a vwr one but my budget didnt so the 034 mount seems like a good compromise,  im not bothered about fancy looking mounts, as long as it does its job then i will be stoked!

....I must admit that I very rarely use the AC (must now test for vibes) but I can report beyond any doubt whatsoever that I get no vibrations now and they weren't enough to be irksome anyway, imho.

I do appreciate a budget restraint but I do also assure you that although I'm very openly a lover of eye-candy, whether my mounts were "fancy looking" was not a consideration. They're buried under stuff in the engine bay anyway and I don't spend money to make the baby bunnies and hedgehogs squeal with delight as I pass overhead.

In my humble opinion I think that your new engine mount mod will help and will extend that location mount's longevity, but I doubt it will perform as well as a VWR type of mount whether from them or another manufacturer such as VF, whether considered by some to be overpriced or not. They are quite different designs with more to them and do cost more accordingly. It's not really a fair comparison imo.

But you have found a very good mod for yourself and I don't want to appear to be pissing on your fire of enthusiasm.

i dont mean to rubish anyones mount, i was just giving a heads up for this mount as i think it gives value for money

....Don't worry, I don't think either of us are meaning to rubbish each other here - The mount types are very different and there's no doubt that the 034 mount is good value and a good mod. I also think it will do much to protect the exhaust mounts on a remapped car - Better than a Torque Arm Insert.

I have the VWR 'Fast Road' set of mounts. Reviewed here : -
