Alarm going off
« on: September 22, 2014, 09:01:47 am »
Hi All,

looking for some advice, yesterday I was driving and my alarm randomly started to go off, but just the siren, no lights. I tried locking and unlocking the car with the key and the button on the door but no luck, turned the ignition on and off, got out and locked and unlocked it, started it again, still going off! it had been going off for about a minute by now, eventually I thought sack it, i'll drive it home and check it out there, 200 yards down the road it stopped? I've ended up doing around 100 miles since and its not happened again.

Any ideas? seems really strange!!

Scan with VCDS and see what shows but I expect  - Alarm Sounder / internal battery defective - new unit required

Drivers side wheel arch splash guard removal and its behind there.
