So I gave it the full once over last Friday again step by step all the way up to the glaze.
Had a discussion last time about only being able to apply 3 or 4 total coats and anything over that will just wipe off so this time I just did 1 glaze, 1 jetseal and 1 wax and it's not nearly as nice. It doesn't have that wet look and as much repelling action...
It's still pretty good but this weekend I'll do another coat of jetseal and wax!

Update 22nd June 2018
So it's been a while since I've updated my thread.
Mainly because Photobucket tried to monetize it's service so without photos the threads weren't as interesting!
So over the last year or so I've been maintaining the GTI with the weekly wash, monthly wax and half yearly Summer/Winter detail usually including my go to of:
Wash
Citrus Pre-Clean
Clay
Polish only if required
Rinse
Dry
Glossworks Glaze
Jetseal 109
Autoglym Super HD Wax
I was in with Volkswagen recently and their body repair manager gave me a few bottles of the autoglym lifeshine packs they use which is the carbon nano shield of the paint, the glass protector and the interior protector so I set out working on this last Month.
The usual pre clean steps were done first to prep the paintwork along with a decent scrub and leather repair for the seats
The carbon nano shield went on very easy but required a bit of elbow grease to take off. Same again with the window protector. I had a bit of this left so I actually gave my house windows a coat too and to my surprise it did an amazing job!!
It cured nicely in the sun for 2 days before the rain came down and the beading was excellent
My votex front splitter was looking a bit worse for wear so it had a full sand down along with mupltiple coats of spray and lacquer
