« on: September 24, 2014, 11:21:13 pm »

now id really love the nortech turbo kit but all in at roughly £6,000 i dont think i can stretch to that(maybe in 2 years lol)
is there a budget friendly type of upgraded turbo out there that doesnt cost a fortune?

Atp manifolds are pants.. Whats the cts kit going for? And what software are you running atm

Its not something you really want to cut corners on to have a good reliable setup

If the turbo and everything else is in good nick that could be tempting though, And possibly upgrade your manifold at a later date..

Manifold is the main part really.. You could piece everything else up yourself.. But ofcourse itis easier to just buy a full kit if you got the cash, will come with all lines and intercooler pipework etc then, instead of messing around having to have stuff fabbed up

Cheaper to buy as a kit.

The Nortech kit including upgrade LPFP would come in at around £6k fitted. The CTS kit is cheaper, with a GTX turbo rather than a HTA turbo and cast manifold rather than tubular manifold but would save over a grand against the Nortech kit with comparative supporting mods. A little more lag and a little less top end power are the drawbacks, but certainly not a massive issue between the kits.
Golf R gone.
