So I'm buying a ED30 on saturday WHOOP - Tax runs out end of month

He's going to pay 6 months tax and claim it back.....what do I do?

Become the new keeper, whose name won't yet be on the V5.....

Pointless him paying any tax and the refund is automated. You need to tax it online on purchase. Overlap is irrelevant.

He's still using to get to work. Its annoying as its such a small overlap into October. If only it was last month. I didn't get any free tax either!!

Quite simple , buy the car that the seller has taxed , drive it home . Then take the green slip to the post office and get your tax .
