New guy from Ireland
« on: October 02, 2014, 10:11:54 pm »
Hi guys,
After years of lurking around and observing members rides and parts for sale I finally registered.
I own a silver '07 GTI and will have it three years in November. Ive not done much with it apart from adding darkened rear lamps from a R32/Edition 30.
So hopefully by joining up here I can expand my mods a lil further improve the car and make a few friends in the process  :happy2:

Hi and thanks guys

@prp74 Yeah pretty good spec but no nav or 18's or sunroof. Apart from that I think it has pretty much everything else.

@lukemk5gti Thanks bud. I'm in Co. Cavan. Where you from yourself?

I'm from Dublin, not too far I suppose. Get ready to spend a few euro now. This forum empties your pockets!!

Not to far at all. Use to drive there quite a bit when the OH was in college. Dont be up quite as much.
Hope to possibly upgrade to 18" alloys, either Monza II's or the Audi Speedlines that came spec'd on some A3's.
I think a nav unit is a must as I have the highline clocks and the VW bluetooth kit in the car and feel I could get more out of it with the nav.

I have the nav unit (MFD2) and have used it maybe twice ever.

It's nice to have but a total novelty, not practical for everyday use.

A stereo is such a key part to the car though so do upgrade but don't let sat nav rule your decision.
