Anyone Have Any Experience With The Neuspeed RSe12 Wheels
« on: October 08, 2014, 03:01:47 pm »
As the title says really I want to get some lightweight wheels for some track work but i want something a bit different not the usual TD Pro Race 1.2s.
Has anyone had them?
What is the finish like?
How have they stood up to UK roads?
I dont want to spend £1000 on a set of wheels if im going to hit a tiny bump and they bent and crack like they are made of butter?
I dont intend to hit pot holes or anything like that but sometimes there are some which you just cannot avoid i dont want those ones to cost big money.
I like the design of the neuspeeds alot but if anyone has anything that comes in under 19lbs that is an 18" and isnt silly money im all ears

Those are lovely wheels. Not sure about their resistance. I'm going for the OZ Ultraleggera.

Alex has my old RSe07's.

I had them on my vRS for 18 months or so i think, so 45k miles or thereabouts and i drive the sh*t out of the car as the company pays fuel and tyres.   The finish on the wheels is very good and they looked absolutely spot on when i sold them to alex, no marks at all really, prob as good as if not better than oem?

I'd recommend these 100%.  Quality, finish, design, weight, value for money, all top notch IMO.

Also nice that they are not the "normal" choice.  I never saw another set (although john_a has bought some now too).

Ahh hopefully he will come along and confirm.
Ive seen the OZs and they are really nice but the RSe12s have always just caught my eye.
Im hoping to stick some wheels on by next summer just want to get things in the pipeline to save decisions later on wouldn't really want my expensive wheels on in the winter not that I want to damage the Pirelli wheels either  :scared:

Well 45k of UK roads and hard driving sound like a good enough test to me. They seem to be the lightest i can find too if you take what they write on their specs as the true weight.

Well thats it loads and loads of all sorts of cars have TD PR2s at least not many people will go oh its got Pro Race 1.2s

The finish on the wheels looks amazing was it the gunmetal colour?
Would be nice to see the RSe12s on a MK5 but by the sound of it there might not be any!

Yep, gunmetal.

The only issue with neuspeeds is getting hold of them - I got mine via awesome gti and it took forever... like 3 months
