Hiya! New DSG ED30 owner here :)
« on: October 08, 2014, 04:47:36 pm »
Hiya! My name's Morgen and I've recently traded my modified 1.0 VW Up! in for a beautiful 2008 Steel Grey DSG Edition 30 (Decided I wanted function rather than form this time!)

I'll upload a few pictures of the ed30 soon, just passing time in work now by writing this :) New to these forums but I've previously been on Club Polo and upownersclub haha!

Just thought I'd say a quick hello and see if there's anybody else from around the Glasgow area or just Scotland in general? Or anybody around my age as well haha! (19)  :P

Here's the car! :) She's also got folding in wing mirrors, reverse parking sensors, a sunroof and an ipod dock in the armrest.. I dunno what other optional extras she's got though!

Will be nice to speak to you guys!

Best colour for the ED30

A set of xenons would transform the front end too, best mod I've made to my car!

I do love the grey! But I really enjoy them in candy white or tornado red too.. I'm not sure on my favourite but my little up was candy white so it's nice to have a different colour :)
I was gutted to realise it didn't have xenons.. I think they may have to happen!

Welcome Morgen, you wont regret buying an Edition 30 & looks like you've got a great example. So do you have any plans for it yet? Try to source some xenon's that would complete the front end. :happy2:

I was a bit skeptical over it at first due to the mileage sitting at 72k haha, every car I've had before now has had super low mileage for the year..

I'm definitely considering xenons now tbh, so many of you are suggesting them!

Another member from Scotland, im in Balloch.

Would definitely recommend getting the xenons.  I have a grey GTi on an 06 plate with them and they really look the part.

Mileage shouldn't be an issue aslong as the cars been serviced & well maintained plus 72k is nothing on a Golf in my opinion. Xenon's just complete the front end here's a picture of mine...

Steel Grey FTW! :congrats:

Mines is at 77k, but has full service history and certainly still pulls like a train! Mileage really doesn't mean an awful lot these days especially if the car has been looked after anyway
