I have a freindly MOT tester Nath, so would only need to change it when I want to

Matt, I'd obviously only use it for trackdays and 1/4 mile days  :innocent:

Mike, I'm fortunate enough to have the resonated zorst anyway :happy2:

Same here so linky please!

Isn't the point of a catalytic converter to reduce toxic emissions? So for the sake of possibly 7 bhp you're going to have a far louder and more polluting car? Gets the thumbs down from me I'm afraid.

That's a fair and valid point. I wonder if Hurdy can get an emmisions read out on the fitting day to see what the difference is?
Sideways yo!

I'd have to see what the emissions are beforehand too, to make it a valid comparison.
However, you have to put this into context, my car on track won't be putting out half the sh!t that some larger, older cars will and on the 1/4 mile my car won't be using 0.048mpg like top fuel dragsters either. Yes I know about CO2 and NOX emissions and their detrimental effect on the planet, but power/performance = higher emissions, so does that mean anyone with a remap ought to be shot at dawn?

I understand Andrew's point of view though :happy2:

If pc plod wanted to be harsh he could whip out his emissions tester at the road side and deem your car unfit for road use ....

I think you're assuming that the car won't pass an emmisions test, it might....
