DSG gear gaitor help please?

Evening chaps, been meaning to try sort this problem out but would like some pointers as to how to remove the DSG knob/selector trim and how the clip parts that hold the gaitor to the knob fit? If I can manage to remove it all I can do some re-stitching to the gaitor and hopefully fit it all back together, pics...
