My girlfriend has deflectors on her 5 door GTI and she really rates them. Can't recall if they are Heko ones off the top of my head, but I may invest in some also. They're also good for having the windows open for a bit of fresh air when at speed.

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

To answer your question, Yes.  :happy2:

Had mine on for years. Not Heko but Climair, better fit IMO.....ive had both. Cost more but not much.

both Heko and Climair keep the rain out, stop the helicopter landing on the roof and allow the window to be left open an inch or so for ventilation when driving in the wet
Heko for skint people Climair for the wealthy

I understand why these are liked, especially as the mk5 doesn't have roof gutters like the mk5. I got an armful of water one time driving my mk5 when it sloshed off the roof... :fighting:
Still, for me, I hate the look of the wind deflectors. I wouldn't fit them to my car.
Just my opinion though & ETTO!

I've never liked the look of them on a 5 door like mine but on a 3 door they look alright. although I've never liked them I did get soaked today when i put my windows down for a bit of fresh air and it had stopped raining! So starting to consider them myself but might just get the fronts or would that look odd?

I notice the Heko deflectors have a bit by the mirrors and the climair ones don't does this make any difference?

If you are after a set of heko for a 3 door, I've just come across these, seem fairly cheap! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mk5-Golf-Wind-Deflectors-/201192101503?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2ed7fbd67f
