Is there a bit missing?

Its off the right side of an engine cover that heads towards the grill. But is there a top bit or something else that attaches to it

Look at item 7 and find the part number what matches your engine type to get the correct one but price is £4.14 full retail inc vat!

Did you take it off yourself or had it fallen out and that's why you took a photo?

If it fell of it's own accord you're going to need new retaining clips and a new box that connects to the front grill.

Brought a engine cover as putting my car back to standard and cant remember what the orignal intake looked like.

Shall pop into vw at the weekend and shall try and get the part i need

I just got sent the retaining clips - spoke to the chap at VW Heritage on Wednesday, he charged me 90p or postage and about the same for each of the clip / screws and they arrived on Friday.  :happy2:

Very simple fix, but be careful you don't drop the clips in to the engine bay like I did! Now got to get a new one!!  :signLOL:
How did she know?
