Side skirts (5 door)

On the GTI's are the side skirts just screwed on???

I've found all the screws just hoping if I undo them will they just pop off??

Unfortunately not no. There is a double sided sticky strip that runs the full length of the skirt. You could use the same method I use to remove badges which is to tie fishing line between two screwdrivers and then use this like a cheese wire to cut through the sticky back foam. There is a chance it will leave some residue so make sure you have some tar/glue remover to hand. Probably be best with 2 people aswell.
