Renault Captur
« on: October 21, 2014, 12:13:06 pm »
The old man was happy as can be last night as he just picked up a brand new Renault Captur......

I couldn't have been more disappointed considering I had him almost convinced to get a high spec 520d.....

He didn't even go for the 2 tone colour or the upgraded alloys.....

Anyway as disappointed as I am I actually do have a question about this monstrosity, will my typical detail of glossowrks glaze, jetseal 109 and autoglym super hd wax be enough for a new car or should I steer him toward a ceramic sealing while the paint is still fresh?

Had a drive of one of these recently they are pretty uninspiring!  But if hes happy thats all that matters right

Think youll get a better repsonse to the question in the detailing area but ill kick things off

Depending on the condition of the car it may need a fulldetail, ive seen a few examples where new cars are delivered in a pretty terrible state and need some form of correction, if all is fine i guess it comes down to how often it will be maintained and to what level, obviously coatings only requiring one application witb waxes needed to be reapplied at different intervals

Your chosen combo should ensure easy maintenance through the winter months easily, i find 3 layers of jetseal still behaves well after 5 months last winter

Its just a way of life.
