LM Reps With Std Suspension?

(1/2) > >>

...Would it look 'simply no', or would it not look too bad at all?

I need to limit the mods for now but wondered if this would look poor? I can't remember seeing a non lowered Mk5 with LM's or reps  :chicken:

Cheers,
Pete.

With the style of wheel i would say its not going to look to good.
I have similar wheels and they only really started looking the biz when i got the ride height correct.

Sorry for the pic whoring but i have a example of what i mean.

And with a better ride height.  :happy2:  makes all the difference.

I think its because of the dish which your lm's have.  :happy2:

Trying not to sound daft, but how low does your car sit as standard anyway? Reason I ask is some mk5s sit quite low and 5 door cars often look lower than 3 door cars for some reason.
I had 18'' BBSs on my mk5 and people were always asking me if it was lowered as it looked quite low and yet it was completely standard. Maybe because after over 40k the springs and dampers had sagged a bit. When I put FSDs on with the standard springs it looked higher again.

^^ First pic looks fine TC but obviously the next two look better.

Mine sits about even Andy. In some pics it can look quite high but in person it sits okay for STD suspension. Mines 3 door though and you make an interesting point about 5 doors 'looking' visually lower. I find this to be true as well and just when I'm about to fit 18"s, it will be interesting to see how they settle again. I'm hoping there won't be any change to the stance.

I have just put 18" audi splits on mine with std suspension. It looks ok but as TC said it wont look great until the stance is sorted. Thats why next on the list is spacers and coilovers!
It will look alright dont get me wrong but with it lowered it will look better. If you want to limit the cost maybe some springs instead of coilovers. Even 40 mm will have a visual difference!  :happy2:
