Hi all.. this is my first post on the golf mk5 gti forum..
I have a Vw Golf GTi mk5 Edition 30 with the following modifications..
* Audi S3 front mount intercooler
* k04 hybrid turbo
* stage 3 remap
* Autotech fuel pump
* RS4 fuel valve
I want to keep looking as stock possible, as it is still on standard ride height, standard edition 30 rims, the exhaust etc etc..
At the moment it is still has the stock exhaust on it at the moment... and looking to get a decat section put on it.
I know the GTi has 2 cats, one straight after the turbo elbow and after the flexi joint, in which it is causing exhaust gas restricions.
My question is... after the cats.. is the exhaust still restrictive all the way to the tail pipes?? although the golf edition 30 exhaust is measuring 2.75 inch on the bends and into the rear silencer. Can I get away using the decat section of the exhaust without ruining the turbo or would it be advisable the get a complete turbo back exhaust???
