Lower mpg after changing DV
« on: October 26, 2014, 11:54:40 pm »
Hi,

I have recently changed to a revision D diverter valve from the original C. The C appeared ok, not torn etc. but after the D went in the car is really struggling mpg wise. The trip computer before would get to and regularly exceed an indicated 35 mpg average but now it struggles to hit 30 on the same journeys.

Is this normal for a rev D? Or should I go back to a diaphragm valve?

Thanks,
Matt

On the latest 20,000 DV threads the Rev G is the best - especially for an Ed30  :signLOL:

The D generally leaks boost and can make the car feel more laggy. My ed30 had a C in from new to 66k miles and it didn't break, I swapped it for a G for good measure  :happy2:
